What is Gold?

Gold is a sunny morning
A horse running in daylight,
A touch of sunlight
Spread throughout the valley-
A shiny ring,
A favorite necklace,
A lone star shining in the night,
Sunrises, sunsets,
Golden weddings,
King Midas’s palace,
And bright candlelight is gold.
Gold is the old car you love,
Gold shines in you after you make a new friend,
Meet your new sibling at the hospital,
And the feeling when you win a race,
Or see someone you love accomplish an impossible task.
Gold is a happy color-
It can never be crushed.
It brings joy,
And invites others in to share the warmth.
Nothing
Nothing can be anything,
And anything can be nothing.
Who cares what happens next year,
But what if nothing happens?
Nothing is the absence of color,
Black, or white.
Nothing is not doing,
Not listening, or understanding,
Not knowing or thinking,
Nothing is NOTHING.
If anything is nothing, then we are nothing,
And all that is important to us, is nothing.
But if we are nothing, then why do we exist?
Then again, anything can be nothing,
So there must be a point in living!
But nothing can be anything,
And anything can be nothing.
Who cares what happens next year,
But what if nothing happens?
